Moshe Sardines was born in Izmir, dealt with trade in his early years and immigrated to Israel at the age of 32. He co-founded Moshav Geva Carmel and chaired its committee. He was also one of the leaders of the Moshavim Movement and led the purchasing organization. Later, he took part in the administration of Hamaşbir Hamerkazi.


In 1958 he was elected the first director of the purchasing organization for the moshavs in the North.

He entered politics as a member of the Mapai Party. He was ranked 28th on the party list for the 1959 elections and was elected to the Knesset as the party won 47 seats. He was re-elected in the 1961 and 1965 elections. During the 1965 elections, he formed the Mapai Labor Alignment alliance. He did not participate in the 1969 elections. In his last term, he served as Vice-President of the Knesset.

Throughout his political career he was particularly concerned with economic issues and the improvement of living standards for the poor and needy. During his three terms in the Knesset, he served as a member of the financial, economic, Knesset, labor and welfare committees.

In 1969, he got into trouble with his moshav due to his accumulated debts to the moshav. He was accused of using his position at Moshav for personal gain. As a result of these findings, Sardines did not submit his candidacy in the 1969 election.


He was 66 years old when he died.
